Monica Gellar on Friends
Courteney Cox was born in Birmingham, Alabama on June 15th, 1964,
being the youngest of four children. Courteney was very close with
her father, and wished things could just go back to the way they
were when her parents divorced when she was ten, after 19 years
of marriage Courteney and he siblings stayed with her mother.
Courteney went to a Public High School in Birmingham: Mountain
Brook High. She was a normal teen. She spent her afternoons at the
local pool supply store earning some extra cash, as well as playing
tennis, swimming, and cheerleading. She graduated in 1982.
From there she went to collage and studied architecture at Mt.
Vernon College in Washington. She still likes to remodel homes and
things of that sort. The a friend of hers, Ian Copeland, suggested
she go into acting and helped her out. She shot some shoots for
magazines like Teen Beat and Young Miss, and for romance-novel covers.
Courteney's first roles included ads for Noxzema and Maybelline.
The in 1985 she appeared in the series Misfits of Science on
NBC. The show was not a hit and was canceled after four months.
That was not the end of it that year because later she landed a
role on Family Ties, as Lauren, Michael J. Fox's girlfriend. When
the show stopped, so did her career at the time.
The next big break would come in 1994 when she landed a part
on Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Soon after that, she got casted on
Friends, as Monica Gellar. Friends was a hit and led her to bigger
and better things such as the Scream trilogy and 3000 Miles to Graceland.
In June of 1999, Courteney married David Arquette, a costar of
the Scream movies. Courneney seeks perfection in all she does, and
she seems to accomplish it every time!
